Verse of the Week : Love
Posted by Chris on 2009/8/8 10:37:43 (56 reads)

Life's not just about loving your brother and sister, we can always say we are only human, but in luke, Jesus says it differently, Children of the most high, are ones that love their enemies, just as the Father, loved those who were ungreatful and full of sin. I don't think this verse is telling us to stop loving our brothers, but more of, we should stop critizing those who are not of the Church, and start showing them, that we truly are loved by God, and love them the same:)

Luke 6:27-37 (New Century Version)

27 "But I say to you who are listening, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who are cruel to you.29 If anyone slaps you on one cheek, offer him the other cheek, too. If someone takes your coat, do not stop him from taking your shirt.30 Give to everyone who asks you, and when someone takes something that is yours, don't ask for it back.31 Do to others what you would want them to do to you.32 If you love only the people who love you, what praise should you get? Even sinners love the people who love them.33 If you do good only to those who do good to you, what praise should you get? Even sinners do that!34 If you lend things to people, always hoping to get something back, what praise should you get? Even sinners lend to other sinners so that they can get back the same amount!35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without hoping to get anything back. Then you will have a great reward, and you will be children of the Most High God, because he is kind even to people who are ungrateful and full of sin. 36 Show mercy, just as your Father shows mercy.

Just another version for you to get another pic of this verse:

Verse of the Week : Faith with no work
Posted by Chris on 2009/5/26 13:09:23 (62 reads)

James 2:14 - 17

Faith and Deeds
14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Brothers and sisters :) let us not grow tired doing Good, but keep doing it because we have faith! Let it not be something that is of tiredness, but of joy and peace and love! Because God is good!

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

is there any more to say :) Praise God, and keep praising him forever more~ :)

Event : :) Be strong

1 Chronicles 28:20-21 (New International Version)

20 David also said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished. 21 The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the work on the temple of God, and every willing man skilled in any craft will help you in all the work. The officials and all the people will obey your every command."

I've posted this before, I won't put any explaination, it's for you to read an eat :).

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”- 1 Corinthians 15:55-57
